WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!

It is with great joy that I write this begging letter. We are about to begin our second Friary here in Central America, and we need YOUR help. Around September, four of us will go to Matagalpa, Nicaragua where we will begin to live the Franciscan life in service to the poor and evangelization in one of the poorest diocese in Nicaragua. It is about a 6-hour drive from our Friary in Honduras. We have wanted to get a second foundation here in Central America for a few years, but have not had the manpower to do it. NOW is the time.

I write to ask for your donations toward this end. The bishop is giving us the use of land, but we have to raise the funds to build a Friary from scratch. We will also have to secure the basic necessities to make it functional. Because Nicaragua is quite poor, we can not much rely on local donations of money or materials. Thus, we will have to try and prevail upon the generosity of you who live in the US to help us purchase many things to get started.
